A continuous rail system has been integrated around the showcases in the exhibition area. This system allows for effective lighting of text and visuals of different sizes from the same distance. The adjustable power and angle of Joy-S lighting products provide flexible lighting solutions, while the lighting inside the showcases is aesthetically unified with products from the Drop Mini series. In areas displaying larger works, different sizes of the T-Drop series were preferred. Additionally, in some showcases featuring organic works, Optisolis LEDs, which minimize UV radiation, were used.
In line with new requests from the museum management, lighting works were also carried out for the 1st and 2nd basement levels. While the same products continued to be used in the exhibition area of the 1st basement, in a room with mirror-covered walls, the light power of Barisol lighting was utilized to enhance the size of reflections in the mirrors. This approach increases the perceived width of the space, offering visitors a richer experience.
The lighting work at the Kenan Rıfai Museum was described by the project’s coordinator, Architect Belgin Batum, as follows:
“The products displayed here may not have a measurable material value, but they hold immense spiritual value. And since organic products are displayed, a very detailed study was conducted on how to best illuminate them to preserve them. For this reason, we used Optisolis products from LAMP 83. I would also like to express my appreciation for LAMP 83’s extraordinary efforts in the procurement process and ensuring that these products were delivered on time for the museum’s opening.”
