LAMP 83 – Selux Cooperation starts up

The Berlin based German lighting manufacturer Selux and the Istanbul based Turkish lighting manufacturer LAMP 83 entered into a framework agreement on strategic cooperation covering the sales of Selux outdoor lighting solutions in Turkey and its surrounding countries.
Selux, internationally well-known for its high quality indoor and outdoor architectural lighting luminaires, and LAMP 83, the leading Turkish company for interior luminaires, are sharing both a long legacy in the industry. Selux started its operations in 1948 in Berlin and employs today worldwide more than 560 people. LAMP 83, founded in 1963, looks back to more than half a century of successful operations and employs today more than 130 people with a growing trend, thank to its state of the art new factory and showroom facilities. Selux and LAMP 38, both seasoned family companies, put much emphasis on qualitative lighting technology and on individual lighting solutions. Both sides are very pleased and confident that adding Selux expertise and high-end outdoor products to the current Lamp 83 portfolio will create synergies and enable both companies to cover market demand of high end lighting products within and around Turkey.
Selux is internationally established and world-wide known for its large projects such as “World Trade Center Memorial, New York City, USA”, “The Old Port of Marseille, France” or “Porsche Museum, Stuttgart, Germany”. Selux sees its mission in developing modular lighting systems to enable customers individual lighting solutions.
Exporting to over 40 countries including Germany, client-oriented Lamp 83 is a specialist manufacturer of standard & custom made luminaires for retail stores, shopping centres, business premises, hotels residential areas, museums and other public buildings. LAMP83 also creates lighting solutions starting from lighting concept design up to customized production.
Now, LAMP 83 is able to handle outdoor projects like never before with Selux philosophy and technology, thanks to this international co-operation project. Both parties expect a strong future market growth, as this perfect combination of the Selux’ high-end outdoor luminaires and the LAMP 83’s indoor applications expertise will fit requirements and expectations of Turkish project makers and the market itself.
